Description :
• This is business counsel role which requires a senior and mature person. This role works closely with leaders like the business lead, sales lead, marketing lead, factory lead, government affairs. It is a role which strategizes with the key stakeholders on the doability of all activities of the business, from a legal perspective. The role supports new activities proposed by the business – ascertains the doability of the same from a legal perspective, strategizes on how to achieve the end objectives within the legal framework. It is a role which requires the individual to be on top of all issues, anticipate the upcoming legal developments and keep the business abreast of the same. The role requires the individual to work with key stakeholders and put in place an infrastructure which identifies and mitigates risks whether existing and/or potential. The role works closely with the APJ legal team on issues / policies which are global in nature. Also there is a requirement to ensure that the said APJ legal team is kept in the loop on key issues.

Specifically :
• Advise on do ability of all new proposed ventures from a business license as well as local legislation and company charter perspective Draft/Review all new business related contracts pertaining to the above verticals in CSMB
• Approver for all contracts pertaining to India Consumer & SMB
• Review /revise terms of sale from time to time
• Trainings from time to time to relevant stakeholders on legal aspects impacting business
• Responsible for all litigations pertaining to CSMB.
• Tech support and Customer Care across Business Units
• Serve as legal SPOC for all queries pertaining to care and tech support
• Establish policies and process for customer escalation
• Draft /Review and approve standard care /tech support formats , communicating with irate customers
• Draft and approve all standard communications in respect of product recalls / significant issues impacting customer experience.
• Responsible for addressing legal escalations – whether or not they become litigations

Marketing across Business Units :
• Review and approve all contracts pertaining to marketing be it endorsement agreements.
• Sponsorship agreements, marketing tie ups etc
• Review and approve marketing communications
• Ensure adherence to legal metrology requirements wrt mar communications
• Trainings to stakeholders on marketing laws as well as legal metrology laws

Corporate Communications :
• Review press releases and all significant communications to the outside world.
Privacy :
• To Serve as privacy counsel for all entities in India, address any and all issues that arise pertaining to privacy.
