Jr. Ruby On Rails Developer Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
Commercial website application design and development
Preparing functional and technical specifications in collaboration with the IT Management Team
Working closely with directors and clients ensuring milestones are completed on time/budget
Participating in management meetings when appropriate and be able to discuss technical issues in a clear and positive way to non-technical audiences.
Keeping fully abreast of latest thinking in all areas of web development
Experience: 0-2 years. Someone who is willing to be trained to work on Ruby on rails.
Salary: 1.5 Lpa to 1.8Lpa
Technical Skills
Outstanding Linux/FreeBSD/Solaris, Ruby on Rails, Apache, MySQL and PHP skills (0 2 years)
Clean sheet relational database design together with very good SQL skills
Must have experience of importing and manipulating data with SQL scripts
HTML and CSS experience
Experience of payment gateways & API Integrations
Good working knowledge of e-mail, FTP, File Versioning Software
Thorough knowledge of website accessibility guidelines and data protection practices
Interpersonal Skills
Good understanding of the organizations goals and objectives
Good interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
Self motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail
Embraces creativity and implements it by optimizing processes, product & technology
Ability to work quickly and to tight deadlines

Note:
The candidate would be located in Mumbai for first 3 months and then permanently to Bangalore.
